Pendleton County

WEATHER

KNOW BEFORE YOU GO

From October to April, road conditions can vary widely throughout Pendleton County.  Sunshine and springtime can sometimes turn to snowy scenes in under a mile, and winter weather can stick around much longer than in neighboring areas.

We've got you covered though!  Check out the live traffic cameras maintained by our Office of Emergency Management.  Placed atop each of our highest peaks, these cameras give you a real time view of how our major roads are doing at their highest altitudes any time day or night.

SWIFTLY CHANGING SKIES

When you're home to the highest peaks and deep valleys, watching the weather can be a show of heavenly proportions.

Located on the eastern edge of the Allegheny Plateau, the geography of Pendleton County makes predicting conditions a little trickier than in most places.

Stay ahead of the sky while visiting by checking local weather conditions ahead of time and as you set out for the day.

Seasonal Road Access

Home to not one, but two National Forests - many of Pendleton County's most popular views and hikes are located along roads maintained by the United States Forest Service.  Ensure a good trip by checking open dates for locations, camping, and roads in the forest.
