Brandywine Lake Recreation Area

Located along the western slope of Shenandoah Mountain near the border with Virginia, the Brandywine Lake Recreation area offers a perfect place for a day trip or a quiet camping getaway.  With recreational lake areas dedicated both to swimming and fishing, as well as numerous large picnic pavilion areas, this is a perfect stop for family fun nestled in the woods.  Managed by the George Washington National Forest District office in Harrisonburg Virginia.  Seasonal changes to hours and offerings are updated on the USFS website.
