Pendleton County Convention & Visitors Bureau
ORGANIZATIONAL INFORMATION
Structure
The Pendleton County Convention & Visitors Bureau (PCCVB) is a federally registered 501(c)3 Non-Profit charitable organization (FEIN 04-3783148). It is governed by a volunteer board of directors, and is accredited on a triennial basis by the West Virginia Association of Convention and Visitors Bureaus, of which it is a dues paying member.
The purpose of the PCCVB, as stated in our governing bylaws, is"to operate as a professional association with the meaning established by WV Code; to promote tourism in Pendleton County; to maintain high standards and ethics; and to provide education in matters relating to the tourism industry."
The board of directors and staff of the PCCVB engage in ongoing strategic planning to ensure that the activities, plans, and programs of the organization maintain continual alignment with this purpose statement, while being responsive to the opportunities and needs of those we serve. More information about the PCCVB's strategic planning process is available upon request.
Oversight & Reporting
The PCCVB prepares and implements an annual budget and marketing plan each calendar year, and prepares an annual report during the first quarter of each year reviewing the work of the previous year. These annual reports are presented to both the Pendleton County Commission and the Franklin Town Council at public meetings in either February or March each year. Additionally, these reports are filed with the West Virginia State Legislature and are available in a public online database at any time.
Meetings & Records
The board of the PCCVB meet on the third Wednesday of every month, and the board committees meet on an as-needed basis. All meetings of the PCCVB board are open to the public, and the records of the board are available upon request.
